Pros & Cons
Pros
This filament prints a gorgeous silky metallic finish that really catches the eye for decorative pieces. Printed at 210c hotend and 60c bed. One exception is that it drops a bit after the print from the nozzle, so i may have to reduce the nozzle temp ... Read More
The pla+ silk multicolor is ultra smooth, with a very metallic like shine to it. The blue is an electric medium blue, almost a turquoise. In bright light, this material really pops with a metallic reflectiveness. High luster finish.
Filament comes nicely wound and vacuum sealed (but not resealable) with desiccant inside. No tangles or feeding issues with this either. Filament also holds up very well to bending as it just bent and did not snap like some others.
The only caveat is that you cannot control how the colors interact. The results are great and visually appealing. Have used various printing filaments and esun has always worked flawlessly.
The color transformation is especially great in vase mode. As for the appearance, it looks really trippy. It reminds me of a prismatic effect like oil on water. Infill 20 (not sure matters much based on design of vase.
Cons
I get one small print from it and then it clogs the nozzle and pops and bubbles. Buy a drier, dry the * out of it.
