Pros & Cons
Pros
The prints are crisp and the detail is precise with somewhat prominent layer lines. While i do have other pla that prints as good or better, this is definitely among the best matte filaments i have yet seen. Both of my tests using the batman logo and ... Read More
The texture feels like it will take paint well. The pink tint is perfect for a pastel look. The mint green color is extremely similar to peak green color of microcenter's pla.
There was absolutely no stringing, blobbing or skipping. No load or extrusion issues. Just make sure your settings are dialed in.
First solid print was printed using cura profile for esun pla+ grey filament. Prints come out fantastic with my usual esun slicer settings, no blobbing or clogged nozzles.
This is my first matte filament and i was blown away. Will get more. See ya.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to sand, no sharp sport when removing brims and supports!
Excellent bed adhesion, no clumps or clogs.
The adhesion was really tricky to get dialed in, this filament does not adhere well so i had to increase the bed temp to 75c to... Read More
The surfaces feel textured and are non-reflective.
Price
At just under 20 dollars a roll, this is a great value for a matte finish filament that's hard to beat.
Nice light green color and a decent price.
Overall, an acceptable matte filament for the price.
Also the price is about as low as you can find.
Packaging/appearance
The filament comes packaged in a vacuum sealed bag with desiccant.
The filament was sealed with a desiccant pack and there were no breaks in the seal.
I completely forgot to take pictures of how i received the package, but i did receive it in a cardboard esun box that was well protected.
The filament came very well packaged and is on a cardboard spool if that's important to you.
Competitiveness
I have used a few different brands of pla with my 3d printer and so far this one has been the best.
The mint green color is extremely similar to "peak green" color of microcenter's pla, which i use a lot.
The label says 190-230, but anything over 190 had too much stringing and 185c seemed the best option.
It is not quite as matte as hatchbox matte pla, but is matte enough for me.
