You can zero it with the plate on so you can count every different food you put on.

For the price, can't really go wrong.
Works well and was a great price.
I've been wanting a kitchen scale for a while now, so when i saw this one and the excellent price, i went ahead and ordered it.

Registering online also give me total 2 years warranty which is just icing on the cake.
