If you try to see the number from the side due to the lighting in the screen you wont be able to distinguish the number

I gave this scale 4 stars because it does work well but you can not place a plate on the scale to weight food because it will cover the screen

This is a good scale but its pretty difficult to read the lcd if you put a place on it

On the downside the scale feels very cheaply made like plastic coated in a thin layer of stainless steal
