Pros
It is simple and works well, accuracy is within1-2 deg. It has calibration availability. The only negative is that i cannot pronounce the etekcity.
Cons
The lasergrip is meant for high-emissivity surfaces, and may not accurately measure polished, shiny, or reflective surfaces. It's not good for measuring temperature of stainless steel cookware. The headline on this item says it is for pizza ovens.
It reminds me of putting a thermometer under the tongue and waiting 2 minutes for it to beep. With newly installed battery, it is now wildly inaccurate. However, it constantly shows my temp (forehead, wrists) to be in the low 80's.
Biggest regret is i didn't return it before the window ended. Mostly sat on shelf. Will be returning it.
Food poisoning is a serious issue and should not rely on wishful thinking that a product works as claimed. There is zero chance of that.
