This product is not accurate. It shows the temperature for my air conditioning unit as 20 degrees. Appears to use battery when off. Maybe this battery isn't fresh.

I absolutely loved this thermometer, but it broke after only a couple of months.
Chemicals can not be added to the pond till the water temperature gets to 55 in the spring.
Price
I have not used this device a great deal but when i needed it, i didn't have any issues.
Packaging/appearance
This product amazed me with the quality the instant i took it out of the packaging, it just feels like a well made tool.
Competitiveness
As good as higher priced units,functions accuracy as good as higher priced competitors !

When adjusting stone temp for cooking one can adjust temp for example between 700 degrees and 950 degrees for cooking naan at a lower temperature or a neapolitan pizza at 925
