The app works perfectly and i also use it with alexa.
With the app and with my echodot; i believe that these little gadgets are a good purchase.
Competitiveness
Can't be setup on a 5ghz wifi network, i have a mesh wifi network where all phones go on a 5ghz network, and can not change that .
4ghz and 5ghz networks (both on the same ssid).

It was easy to setup out of the box even with a hidden wifi as the app takes some of the info from your phone

Unless the ceiling speakers are shockingly efficient i expect 8w under load is a false reading caused by the switching power supply load
