I can wear these and hear the music or carry on a conversation reasonably well the plugs take the edge off of painfully loud gigs without spoiling your enjoyment

I’d say they work really well for home improvements data centres live music and when wandering around noisy places as they attenuate the noise but you can still here what’s going on around you across most frequencies
