Pros & Cons
Pros
Etymotic wavelet and ifi xbass are the best iems for bass. Ed sheeran, doja cat, aitch and anne-marie all sound great.
Cons
Etymotic's earphones are nothing special at all. Within a month of use, the rubber of the cable is already broken off from the splitter and exposes wires underneath. The sound is muddy and mediocre, and there's no top end response to speak of.
Highlights
Quality
I don't like difuse field so i don't like default sound quality but if you eq it carefully it can be the best.

The wire has stopped working on one side 10 months later but is otherwise still good

However it must be noted that although it is technically mmcx compatible a standard mmcx cable is going to be useless because it lacks this etymoticspecific locking mechanism which meant at least in my experience the earbud would come right off with the slightest pressure so a standard cable was hardly usable

Fortunately replacement cables with this special locking mechanism can be purchased rather cheaply from ali for a fraction of the price that etymotic would sell them to you for
