Pros

Bass is strong but not 'beats' level (which i find too much). Mids are recessed a bit. Clear mids and treble.

If you can get them for $80, as i just did, it’s an absolute no-brainer.

Noise isolation is unbeatable. If swapped over to the any of the dual-* tips that are included, the isolation isn't as great, but still is at the top of any iem i have used. Sound isolation is best with the foam tips compared to the silicone tips.

Also the foam tips are large and they don't have as much stiffness after a week or 2 of use.

The er2xr is easy to listen to, for long stretch without feeling tired. Everything is just bundled perfect. No complaints here, but swapping the plastic packaging materials for renewable materials would be a nice touch. The only downside is the lack o...  Read More

Cons

A real shame. Maybe these are defective since they sent used one. Watch a video of how these get inserted and how far before buying them.

I had bought a few pairs of the klipsch x10 a long time ago when they exited production and a lot of places were blowing them out for 60

Alas i finally wore through my last pair i had issues with the wires breaking where the molded stress relief met the body and was looking for a new set of wired buds with a similar form factor and sound quality

Id been listening to a lot of electronic and more processed music as of late and decided to go with the er2xr for the increased bass response although i was really on the fence between the er2 and er2xr

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If youre on the fence about the er2 or the er2xr i think you should look at your personal music preferences and decide which one is better suited for that sound profile or if you demand a neutral tone definitely the er2 because theres no way youll be able to fully balance the er2xr to neutrality without it diminishing the sound quality

Since my last earphones died from a broken cable not replaceable i was looking for other good ones i use them mainly for travel or listening at night

I tried a couple of sony nch the last the xm4 and the sound and the size didnt do it for me so i tried a cuple of chifi iems a 60 kz and a 120 fiio but the sound of both does not cut it for me

I was tempted by this er2xr but the opinions on ear 34rape34 make me uneasy
