The gate is sturdy enough to keep 2 rowdy dogs in one area. The openings are small enough that our 4 lb chihuahua doesn't go through them or get stuck in them. We leave it unlatched most of the time (fir our own convenience) it is very sturdy.

Two gates in a row with the same problem. Side extension pieces fall and flop over as you’re trying to install it. The installment with the adjustable with pieces is not easy! Hinge parts are made of plastic, broke and is useless now.

The wood is cheap. Most of the customer review pictures look like the darker wood color i was hoping to achieve with this gate.
