Pros

Fabulous gate. Since it swing both directions, you have to stabilize yourself and the gate to get it locked. We also have an older version of this gate that has lasted 5+ years.

Cons

The gate without the extra extender piece is too small, with it barely fits into the space. The gate is too narrow for the top of my stairs without the extension, but it will not fit with the extension. The box clearly states it fits openings 29-39.

This information is present on the product packaging, but not in the listing. It is essentially falsely advertised. Product description is inaccurate and design is unbelievably *.

The engineering on this is ineffective. But this one takes the cake for uselessness! Wasted 1/2 of my day.

It is hard to open the door for my 4 year old grandson. It can be pushed open with as little pressure as a pinky finger. The older versions make it harder for toddlers to learn how to open them.

I have bought 4 of these and will continue to use the same brand if i need more in the future.
