Pros
Nice and sturdy. Works to keep my pets out of the stairs. Very sturdy for my large dog. If i open my door and the dog suddenly runs out, he is unable to leave the deck unless i take him.
Easy to install and easy to use. Only issue is the gate locking lever which should swing down away from the gate hook.

Cons
The latch does not hinge. This needs tiny hook eyes installed, no templates and very finicky positioning.
The durability of the gate is not that great. When it's fully expanded the sturdiness of this gate weakens greatly. The gate just has meta tabs that swing around on the metal hooks that you mount.

It’s mounted to the wall, nothing to come loose and malfunction and the top of the stairs.
Bought this to replace a plastic gate that was difficult to fit tothe door jambs, and eventually warped .
Price
Super happy and a great product for the cost!
I gave it a 4 instead of a 3 because the lower price makes up for the cons.
Hard to find this style coffee for the price.

As you can see by the photos, my stairwell had a banister on one side and a wall on the other side.
Competitiveness
I had to go to lowes to get some cornice hooks and eye hooks to make up my own mounting hardware.

I used it as an outdoor gate but im sure its intended for indoors so i wont fault them on how long it lasted

It started to fall apart after almost year of outdoor weathering but with a little duct tape it has lasted three years so far

I could not put the standard wall to wall gate because on 1 side it would not have anything to attach to
