Pros
The lock is sturdy and it wide enough for many spaces. Love the farmhouse look and doesn't look like an eyesore.
It works decently well, although the redesigned plastic locking mechanism is a frustration. The quality of the build also makes you think twice before putting any pressure on this.
I have a decker rat terrier whom enjoys destroying his environment. Bought it for keeping baby safe. Bought for puppy training.
Cons
However, mine came damaged and i don’t have time to replace it.

Because of the trim it had to be installed higher than i would have liked but i plan to stuff a towel or pool noodle underneath

This one requires you to sqeeze it to slide it into position

I can imagine it being impossible to use if you have arthritis or fine motor issues i dont yet but it hurts my hands to squeeze it and it doesnt slide easily
