Pros

The wood is solid, nicely built. I painted mine and added a tough poly coat over the paint because i wanted it more decorated.

This is the only one i found that had the adequate depth for mason bees. The bamboo and wood chutes/holes are glued in which is great too. I appreciate all of the various sized tubes, as different bee species prefer certain sized tubes.

The bee hotel appears to be solidly built. Perfect for solitary bees. Hope it will encourage the carpenter bees to leave my home alone this spring.

Cons

My bee house was not drilled out as expected. Gluing makes the entire house un-reusable.

Filled with bees quickly and it was cool to watch them work but prepare to buy one every other year or so because the glue will melt and cause it to fall apart

The wood was treated for outside use but i painted mine see photo and added a tough poly coat over the paint because i wanted it more decorated however it’s ready to hang outside as soon as it’s delivered

I unfortunately purchased it a couple of months too late as the carpenter bees are already laying their eggs in my fence but maybe next season i can plug up their holes after they emerge

Anyway a few days after i hung up this house a couple of holes looked like they were already filling up
