Pros & Cons
Pros
Silver alginate is tough on slough! Didn’t damage healthy skin around the wound. The dressings are the type that need to be secured with a secondary bandage over them. The power of silver keeps wounds clean and heal faster.
They are thick and soft, but still breathable. They have a good thickness to them, yet are moveable.

If you need something even larger they seem as though you can easily just use a more than one alongside each other

The dressing did not adhere to the wound when the wound flow was heavy but around the 3rd day the exudate was minimal and then the dressing did adhere to the wound so i had to soak it in warm water for 10 minutes to get it off

Note if i had a largersize wound i would cover the large wound with one 4x4inch silver alginate dressing and then get another dressing to cover the area of the wound that the first dressing did not cover

I would then apply a foam adhesive dressing
