The photographs and drawings are excellent, the layout is logical and easy to follow. The text is always relevant and illuminating.
This is one of the most comprehensive and colourful texts one could hope to find on evolution. This is even good to read to a youngster, while explaining the biological history of our planet. Steve parker, general editor.

Not much critical thought given or permitted given this quote taken from the book's foreward. Steve parker needs to go back to high school on and learn about the details and value of the scientific method.

Of course larger type would come at the significant expense of sacrificing reader comfort and ease of manipulation the book is already textbook sized and slightly on the heavy side
