Pros
The excalibur is the preferred dehydrator in the cookie hobby arena and is worth every penny. I'm very particular about items and seldom have positive reviews, so this is one of the few items that meets my standards.
Love this dehydrator. The possibilities are endless. Very pleased.
Timer that shuts it off when they are done so you don't overdry. Year warranty so i'm not too worried about something going wrong.
Cons
The door that came with it is too small so it rattles very loudly. There is no reason a unit like this should be so loud. Also this product advertises that it comes with a guide.
One tray was tossed-in outside of the dehydrator because of this mess. The shelves were warped and in a diagonal position. The bracket was bent after i straightened it and installed the timer.

This is the 3rd one, at least with 10 years warranty and you do not need to purchase additional coverage.
The nesco fd-79 snackmaster pro dead in one year, no warranty after one year.
Price
Jerky and dried mangos at a fraction of the cost of in the store.
Worth every penny esp for the food shortages coming up.
They were an additional cost, but well worth it.
I think for this price there should be a drip tray and some sheets for drying fruit leather.
Shipping
Amazon had me a new one within 4 days of my notifying them.
I saw a couple people giving this a 1 star review for being damaged in shipping.
A second one was ordered and arrived within a week.
First of all this came via usps which is not my favorite shipper in our rural area.

This has one fan in the back air pushes through one direction and so rotating the trays is needed half way through

The excalibur book that comes with the unit says specifically to dry at 95 degrees but this unit lowest temp is 105
