The water does not drain from the very bottom of the unit via the drain plug resulting in freeze damage. The heat around the heater is substantial, i would say dangerously hot. Not crazy about tapping a gas valve with anything.

Good for short distant for water to travel but would not recommend if water has to travel farther distance will not keep water hot

At first i was very upset because i could get hot water at my sink but only luke warm water at my shower

I found that by adjusting the water flow going into the water heater i could get hot water to my shower
