These boots solve this issue. She walks well and is as agile as ever with the exception of iceas these impede the use of her claws. The key is to get them on tightly, and no problems.

They fit well, but could be taller. My 96lb golden retriever (size 8 boots) is comfortable in these. Work great for my 14-yr old german shepherd.

Putting these on his feet for the first time was an incredible entertainment value as he tried to walk without touching the ground.
