There are marks all over the protector that i can only theorize are from spending time in dusty areas and small bits of something finding their way in between the screen and the body

The best thing to do is line up the shield with the screen using painters tape as a hinge then wearing latex gloves so the oil from your hands does not get on the adhesive remove the 2 adhesive first and carefully apply

But even with great caution bad quality screen protectors get damaged so easily just as you are applying it
