Pros

Paddles are sturdy, we usually only take one and alternate on paddling. It floats on the water and doesn't have a hull so more wind push/less glide. The kayaks also come with a fixed removable rudder for lateral stability.

This boat inflates pretty quickly for its size, but takes longer to deflate all the parts than my other boats. It inflates within a few minutes and our dog loves to sit in the front- we put a towel under him per the suggestion of another poster and it...  Read More

Seats are adjustable and attach with velcro and buckles. I'm 6'3 and 195 lbs and this two person kayak is perfect.

The intex explorer has a good balance between storage, setup time, and function. I have a hard shell kayak which is a pain to tie on the roof of my camry.

This kayak is perfect for the person who doesn’t have room for a traditional kayak, and kayaks leisurely. It's very durable and comfortable.

Cons

Intex kayak developed a pinhole at the end of a seam. Intex should have replaced the kayak after 3 months.

The oars are way too short. The paddle handle is good, but the fins *. Potential to rapture and drowning.

This is an extraordinarily weak kayak and not even close to worth the 200 dollars it costs. The material is also really sketchy anything would tear it up. Do not buy this kayak. Beware; the one i was sent is defective.

Quality

For under $150, i really recommend this product.

We used it at the beach with the dog!

The puncture repair supplied with the boat doesn't hold.

With the included hand pump it took maybe 15 minutes.

Price

All that said it's definitely worth the price.

One of my seats tore in half and replacing it costs $42.

Competitiveness

One of the few products that actually gives you everything it says it will and at a really great price.

I stupidly forgot to tie it down and was lucky my boat flipped in the wind and got caught on a friends traditional hard-sided canoe.

I got it to replace a one-person coleman inflatable kayak i’ve had for almost 20 years that finally succumbed to an unrepairable seam tear.
