Personally i find them to be cooler than a normal pillow case but i also own a blanket made of similar material these do not have the same 34cold34 effect as the blanket i think its because the blanket has a thicker tshirt type material on the back side of the main material

As others have noted the material is a bit thin i can faitly see the checkered blue white pattern on my pillow though the material but its not a weak fabric

I do like that it has a zipper because i think the pillow would slide right out if it didnt because the material is kind of slick my pillow slides on the bed more than normal

The zipper opening is curiously small pictured but i didnt mind that

If you put a pillow case on by cramming it in the opening its difficult but if you do it the correct way its just like any other pillow case correct way flip the pillow case inside out and roll it on from the bottom to the opening
