Swinging the probe back in or unplugging the remote probe turns the unit off

The magnet is not quite strong enough to keep the thermometer from sliding down the side of our refrigerator which is quite smooth but i was able to solve this by placing the thermometer on top of a large vinyl refrigerator magnet that was already on the fridge
