This converter comes with a thick, nylon braided cable. The female hdmi connector is shrouded in protective plastic before being placed in the metal casing. The adaptor feels durable also which is not always the case with cheaper adaptors.
Cons
That makes it unsuitable for my purposes. Didn't want to hurt my xbox or monitor with a bad adaptor.

While the same is true for the male dp connector obviously the connector being a male needs to extend beyond the casing

From end to end this measures just about 11 but when the male pd plug is inserted the length will be just about 10

Keep in mind this will only work if the source is displayport
