Pros

It is extremely quiet in operation. That squashes a lot of bad reviews. Even a trifold napkin underneath will make this drive quiet. These are very sleek, quiet, easy to use and dependable.

Moving 90gb takes around 15min. With 12gb of dram, it plays ps4 games fine, no lag. Usb2 works just fine.

Cons

Get a tiny western digital or seagate. These are about the size of a wallet but thinner, do not require an external power source, and seem indestructible. No one wants to spend 1000 dollars on a 8tb when you can get a 2tb one for like 100 dollars now,... Read More

The fuse is intact, but i can't find the 12v level anywhere downstream of the fuse. The volume /dev/rdisk3s2 could not be verified completely. Fantom tech support is non-existent.

I am scared to make another purchase because returns are environmentally hurtful. They were returned for a refund. Won't power on. Tried connecting to sales instead, but no answer and got sent to a voicemail.

An electrolytic filter capacitor has failed short. Drive frequently disconnects. Swapped out different usb cables, same result.

Great product, works very well and i've had it for about 4 years now.

Packaging/appearance

This was so simple after i took it out of the box.

Competitiveness

I have a high-end pc and haven't had any problems with this recently.

I must admit that the initial copy is slow but i am moving from a 5400rpm drive so that is to be expected.

Cannot play ps5 games off of it, keep that in mind.

It is not an eyesore like a lot of competitive brands.
