The crank works smoothly so the opener glides around the can. Used it numerous times.
Cons
The handle seems to slip, doesn't grip, won't cut, but wheel turns. If farberware employee reads this. My cheap grocery store opener works much better.

Its not as fancy as those automatic ones which btw break after just 3 uses

It cuts the outside of the can rim leaving no sharp edges or halfway cut areas like the top cutting styles
