They're really well sized and feel sturdy. The plastic is a good weight and durable. I like them because they are lightweight, but sturdy. This is the hard kind of plastic that makes you worry about breaking handles.

The bowls are pliable which i don't have a problem with and i don't necessarily think or reduces the quality.
For the price, i don’t see how you can beat the quality and value.
I didn't think the quality was up to the standards i expect from faberware.
We did end up having an issue with the cover on one of the small bowls, it is very hard to pop on.
Price
The price drew me in initially but i would have bought this set for twice as much.
The $59 price seems a little high for this set.
Packaging/appearance
I like the pourable spout on the mixing bowls:).
Competitiveness
I think this set would make a good gift, especially if the recipient has tastes that are more kitchy and retro.

It sounds and feels solid so i suspect it must just be a better grade material
