It comes with a metal insert with an unusual thread pattern and no directions of what kind of screw is needed or better yet a matching screw included

But since our pots are 40 years old and the stem on the lid was larger in diameter and not threaded it didnt work

I had to find a bolt metric 4mm x

When the knob arrived it was different from the original in that it had a threaded metal inset to take a bolt to attach to the lid
