Pros & Cons
Pros
It is well made, sturdy, comfortable and very sharp. It fits well in the hand and seems well balanced. The handle itself rests comfortably in the cradle of your palm allowing excellent feedback as you slice off your little piece of fruit deliciousness... Read More
The blade looks beautiful out of the box. They come almost razor sharp and are solidly constructed. Ceramic, being very hard, can have an excellent edge.
For quality and price this paring knife is an amazing deal. The price is reasonable and the quality is superb. Well, it completely satisfies my needs. These are some pretty great paring knives, definitely worth the money.
This knife has a very aggressive serration pattern. After a few gentle passes on an accusharp, it becomes signficantly sharper. Long shrp teeth, with deep grooves between.
Cons
Bought this bread knife from walmart and noticed discoloration on the blade. It has no girth to it and felt unbalanced. When cutting hard breads like baguette, batard, knife will bend so you won't have clear and even pieces.
Highlights
Quality
Perfect balance, excellent handle, one-piece steel the length of the knife.
Moisture tends to accumulate at the juncture of most blade to hilt set ups, the design of this knife helps to reduce that issue... Read More
Full tang with a blade that doesn't flex.
It also is way more brittle than stainless steel.
Price
5 stars for a good product at a good price.
This knife is way better than i expected for this price!
Competitiveness
Now there are "cheaper" versions by farberware and more expensive versions (to include the ceramic paring knives).
I had the previous version of this knife, which was very similar but had a less ergonomic grip.
