Our last one which was about 3 was just awful and consistently off by about 25 degrees

Part of the reason is that the dial reads in degrees fahrenheit and celsius and uses two degree increments for both instead of using 5 degree tick marks like many other scales

The only shortcoming i observed was the readability of the scale but thats more of an issue with my vision and not the fault of the thermometer

My wife likes the size of this thermometer and the fact that it responds almost immediately to temperature change

Not sure if that is because of the glass used or what but as soon as it is exposed to steamcloudy
