Pros & Cons
Pros
Love the internal zooming, with very smooth one-finger operation. Better with a solid monopod or tripod. Image stabilization is great as i haven't used a tripod yet! The internal zoom is probably my favorite feature as it prevents dust and moisture fr... Read More
The quality of construction is outstanding. It is worth every penny i paid for it. No damage to the boxes. Heavy duty, well made.
Autofocus is superb in good light. Struggles a little in low light but that was expected. Great when in auto focus you can over ride if you wish and adjust to your liking.
This lens excels for sports and wildlife. Often i find myself trying to catch early am wildlife, or am otherwise in shadowy environments so a faster lens should help.
Cons
Three of the four screws securing the tripod collar are broke in half. Some experts believe the lens is unable to handle a 61mp sensor. There are some users who seem to be happy and don't report a problem.

This lens provides really sharp photographs even when it extended out to its 600mm range.

It’s worth the price and you won’t be let down by the quality.
This is 2 months rent for most people i know.
If you have the money then please buy one!
It is worth every penny i paid for it!
Shipping
It was scary waiting for this to arrive given that it is sensitive equipment.
I opened it in front of delivery person to verify the contents.
Packaging/appearance
Right now one star deduction for amazon packaging!
The lens came inside a box with padding and it was also in an amazon box with bubble pouches.
The box was almost twice the length of the lens box.
Competitiveness
I have bought many lenses from sony and minolta, and some pretty expensive ones, but this is the best lens i have ever had the ... Read More
I started with this lens while using my a6400, but have recently moved up to an a7riii, which was a great choice as well.
On some brands it takes a lot more rotational movement to go from wide to zoomed in.

This photo did have some minor noise correction done but honestly would have been fine without it
