The bar feels solid and sturdy. It is heavier than most ez bars at almost 20 lbs. The packaging is very well constructed.

The bar holds 2-inch style olympic plates. Comes with 2 weight * to prevent the plates from falling off.

Cons

Extremely gritty and noisy. There is too much play in the sleeve/bar connection. The illustration that shows what appears to be a well-made sleeve/ bar interaction just is not true.

I was shipped as requested in concealing packaging and on time worked out great.

This means the naked bar is roughly 17-18 lbs, which lines up with the packaging.

Competitiveness

I ordered this curl bar to replace my 15lb straight bar.

We placed 25lb weights on each side and there was no slack on either side.
