Pros

Easy to attach at any height in the door way so can do rows and pull ups/chin ups. The bar is adjustable to fit your doorway or preferred location for installation. It says it's not for hollow framed doors, but you can probably install it on the very ...  Read More

Easy to install and feels very solid and sturdy. Installation is a little tricky with one person but definitely doable. Single rod is very good to use, bought to install a good try.

Once it's tightened properly, applying downward weight like you would for a chin-up or pull up, actually increases the holding capacity. Great exercise tool that's effective in helping strengthening your upper body, without taking up much space. Gripp...  Read More

You rotate the ends out to approximately where they need to be, then hoist it up (for chin ups) and spin the center tube to expand it further out. After confirming the size, buckle the insurance. You just twist the tension bar (the actual bar) until t...  Read More

Pull up bar is well built, very sturdy. Can be used for both push up and pull up. I want my grandson to do more pull-up and stretch-out to make himself grow taller.

Cons

Setting it up is so cumbersome. You mush hold both ends while turning the center chrome bar. They don't grab the painted doorway, they want to slip.

Quality

Would recommend this over the quality and design.

Simple and convenient, very suitable for home, i can exercise at any time, the product is consistent with the seller's descript...  Read More

With the hanging style, i cannot close the door while it's hanging.

Even with the instructions, it was a little tricky figuring out how to extend the bar and lock it back into place.

Price

For the price, i'm happy with this.

Competitiveness

I bought this because my daughter turned interested in gymnastics.

It easily supports my weight, and while i might not be able to do more than 10 pull-ups at a time, i feel confident that it won't fail.

I tried it with a weight of 120lb.

The cam levers are fairly soft but they are only used as a stop for the screwing mechanism so that is ok

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The lever mechanism in the fists converts any downward pull on the bar into an expansion motion making the bar grabbing the frame even harder

In the past i had a pull up a bar that was secured to the door frame using hooks this one relies more on compression
