Pros
The fabric-covered wrist rest feels cooler to the skin than bare gel. The hard gel surface has a smooth touch; i personally love the firmness of the wrist rest.
Fellowes gel black wrist rest & mouse pad w/microban. It fits perfectly in the space i have (less than 8 inches of mouse operating real estate) it measures 11 inches depth and 32 wide.
This mousepad is terrific. The mousing surface is smooth which makes it perfect for optical mouse. Smooth surface to help mouse gliding.
The fellowes pad itself is still top notch quality. Other brands have torn or cracked/dried out not even after 2 years.
Cons
There are fibers on the wrist rest that scratch and irritate the inside of my wrist. The fabric is a polyester of some sort. My wrist is always red and irritated. It moves around and is not steady.
The current design is useless. Shame on them. You can't remove the wrist rest itself.
