I do dj live streams and ive yet to check wether this can handle heavy bass in a room setting so i cant comment on that kind of recording yet

If you are an ameteur podcaster you should not shell out on a more expensive mic until you are more experienced and there will be other things youll consider first like padding out your room so you can have less outside sound

So there is no reason not to upgrade to this mic unless you have no room on your desk for it
