It has no top cover but the edges around the top would be protected and it provides a very snug fit

I havent dropped it though i have been throwing it across the room onto the couch hehe but i cannot see how my pad could possibly be damaged in this thing and a good screen protector unless i run over it with the car

Before i buy this case i bought ibalson ipad 234 kiddie case but it was difficult to insert the battery charger and headphone

You just have to be patient and can get two sides on then ease the edges of ipad into the rest of the case

I thought i would have to return it because i didnt remove the packing insert at first
