This is my 3rd ipad (just bought the newest version ) and in the past my cases had notches to hold it up on a table, but not very securely. This stand is fantastic!
Cons
This case has a phenomenally weak magnet to hold it onto a metal surface. I'm not sure if this is because the case is misaligned with the *.

It will even stick to a magnetic surface like a refrigerator

When in the stand position the area of the cover that touchesprotects the glass screen of your ipad flips back and is in direct contact with whatever surface you set it on

Set it on the a dirty desktable for example and you run the risk of picking up whatever was on the table and smooshing it between the cover and that nice glass ipad screen when you close the cover
