Like the case for my old kindle it has a hard plastic shell into which you snap the device

For my purposes the small holes over the speakers these are in the hard plastic case not in the soft spine allow for the speakers sound to come through

Ive seen another version of this case where the device orientation must be reversed and the speakers face the spine holes punched into the soft spine are a perforation and there are complaints and photos of the fabric tearing
