Pros & Cons
Pros
The only cosmetic flaw i found is a small stain under the finish in the neck. The bones of these guitars are very good. Some small blemishes, a small ding on the side of the neck.
This baby came set up right out of the gate! Guitar is beautiful! Nice tone. Awesome guitar. Beautiful paint job.
Very jazzy with the tone dialed back on the lipstick pickup. I'm not much of a luthier, so i sent it in to have the intonation set, as well as string/pickup heights.
Cons
The volume knob really wobbles. It's so rough you can not bend the string across this area. Strings are too high and cannot get them not to buzz when set to proper height.

Competitiveness
Don't compare this to a professional series fender thinline!

Or, you can upgrade and have a really nice guitar that equals or imho is better than the squire cv thinline telecaster, for $250.
I have bought squire guitars at 3 times this price an still had to do the same setup work.
