The replacement unit works like a charm! No regrets here at all. This thing is a beast so far. Hunsn's customer care is so friendly.
Pfsense plus 23. Also have a dmz raspberry pi webserver isolated.
The arris s33 cable modem with a 2. Inch screen. The 2. I have it setup with an 8 port switch and 2 aruba aps. It's a bit of a pain, but you'll need a usb nic to act as a temporary wan.
Only concerning thing right now is the heat - its idling around 45 - 50 c which is warmer than i like. The machine didn't come with the actual fan cable that goes from what i believe is mini pwm to normal pwm, but its a few bucks so not a big deal. Us... Read More

There is a jumper inside that locks the unit on 100% of the time and disables the power button. The patriot viper steel is definitely dual ranked and incompatible.

My initial thought is the heatsink wasn't making good contact w/ the intel n5105 processor.
Price
The 10/100/1000/2500/5000/10000gb intel nic i purchased for my existing hardware was $400 by itself.
5g ports is another bonus as i can't afford to upgrade yet but am planning on.
Amazon did not allow for a direct replacement and i was forced to purchase the replacement unit at full price, a $52 total difference.

Customer service, elena, responded quickly and guided me to a pfsense plus installation which took care of the problem.
Great customer service, they answered all my questions in timely manner.
They sent me a pre-paid label to ship the doa unit back and shipped me a new unit.
As of writing this review it seems they expect me to pay to ship this piece of crap back to them.

My box came with pfsense already installed so my set up was pretty straight forward.
The box itself came pre-installed with pfsense, but i re-installed the machine from scratch for my piece of mind.

I dont really like the thought of having something else sitting in between my firewall and the internet but i dampened my concerns a bit by doing pci passthrough on the 3 nics that i used for the firewall 2 wan 1 lan trunk and the 4th port im using as proxmox management
