Cons

Once the detector is installed onto the mounting bracket, it locks. The green led active indicator is very dim, and only blinks once per minute.

This product is not returnable! It was simply thrown into an unmarked box with no instructions or manual. The only option is to trouble shoot the defective one, which i've done, and it doesn't work.

Newer iterations of this product are junk. Bad design.

The detector is keep chirping to indicate low battery. It seems that it needs the voltage to be above 1. It's clunky to open, the battery is a bit difficult to get in.

These work well and are not too expensive.
