Pros

The suggested mounting in my opinion is to place it on a 4x4 post. It hangs from my grey bunny bird feeder tree.

Cons

After a full month of fresh water, no bird has hopped up for a drink. The cups become dirty from bird poop and any flying dust long before this needs refilling.

Don't waster your money on this one. Birds seem to steer clear. They go to the feeders and ignore this ufo.

I have arthritic fingers and this contraption is very hard to fill and put back together. It is held on with a metal band with no way of reaffixing it nor tightening it.

Ordered one from jc's wildlife thru amazon and they mistakenly sent two.

Surprised it was not broken or cracked when it arrived.

Competitiveness

But i was glad to find it as it's the only one similar to the one had before that has been discontinued.

Some reviewers indicated the hook broke easily so we went to the wild bird store and bought an inexpensive metal hook.
