I love the design, very well made.
Keeps good time and only needs one aaa battery.
Finally, the essential piece on the battery holder fell out, so of course the clock stopped running.
This new one has a lot of tan in it--still pearly but pearly tan & darker.
Price
I did order this 'pearl mosaic' from amazon warehouse, & suggest you do the same--the brand new one is way too expensive!
It looks m;uch more expensive than the price i paid.
Packaging/appearance
Very pretty and went perfect with my decor.
The colors are exactly as pictured& goes great in my room,
On the wall in my bathroom, however, with the marble countertops, it looks great.
Competitiveness
I do have 2 smaller clocks from this same company (firstime), also bought in 2010 from bed, bath.
Although the name is the same ('pearl mosaic'), it's slightly different.

The color around the outside of the face is not as vibrant as i expected from the picture but it is still an attractive timepiece and is quiet

And i began having problems with the battery holder some years ago i added aluminum foil to keep the battery tight
