Pros

The first volume setting is perfect and so far - zero headaches for this momma! My 2 year old grandson loves this player. My 3 year old granddaughter loves to play her music and have dance parties.

It seems very well made, and seems like it's going to be durable. Only thing is, i wish the records were made like they were in the 70’s. Now, they’re smooth.

Cons

The new version has a dreaded battery driven chip which only alerts the music to play. Unfortunately this just recognizes the discs and plays digital music, forfeiting all the value of its analog predecessor. It was not digitized sound.

Wind-up spinner functions but not usefully. On/off button doesn't move; it's just for show. The turntable function itself is something of a placebo. Arm is so hard to lift up and move it even presses down the records themselves.

Entertainment is not as high on my priority list as curiosity is. It's just not worth it. No good. Overall, it's just.

It's not something that will be filling a landfill. Most things made of plastic are already recycled.
