Pros & Cons
Pros
Fisher space pen writes in 23 degrees on regular lined paper with no problem. The ink flows smoothly and evenly, even on the thermal receipt paper at work. I like the smooth way it writes, always on demand.
This pen is awesome. As with all fisher pens, this one is excellent. Fisher pens are the best!
The eclipse space pen is an insanely great bargain.
I love the clip so i can keep it in my pocket but still have it accessable. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Great purse pen.
Cons
The clicking mechanism stopped working after 3 months. The retractable feature sticks and squeaks. Instead of putting a band of rubber or silicone on the pen, fisher has inexplicably used something that feels and behaves like teflon around the front e... Read More
For their pioneering ink-cartridges, fisher's pen design is pretty much a loser. It's way too small to hold comfortably especially if you have large hands.
The pen is still marginally functional, but now i don't know that i can rely on it. Didn't last a day at work with this pen.
Highlights
Quality
Great feel when writing, easy hold & ergonomic.
This pen delivers excellent writing upside down, i read in bed and highlight and under score all the time, all other pens would... Read More
The metal pen has lasted over a decade with refills, these write in sub zero weather and will not leak in a hot car.
Lightweight pens are made of lightweight, breakable materials.
Price
So i bough 3 of them here for this great price!
I'm very pleased with the pen at a reasonable price.
The whole thing is way over priced considering these points.
A metal edc pen will easily cost you $40+, and that's on the very cheap side.
Shipping
Arrived safely packaged the next day as promised.
Packaging/appearance
Definitely not for gifting as it does not come in a nice box.
Truth be told, now want one for myself - it's so pretty.
Competitiveness
That said, while i'm positive you can get comparable quality pen for the money, i'm not sure you can get a better one.
I compare holding it to the first bullet pen and find little difference except that i feel a lot safer holding this one.
There are better fisher space pens, but they have gotten kind of expensive.
