Frosted plastic with nibs on thebottom to keep it from sliding around. Appears to be sturdy for the duration.

Cons

These are very thin material and ripple on the carpet. Too flimsy. Not as advertised!

Save yourself the misery of owning this monstrosity.

The wheels of the desk chair create indents rather than riding smoothly on the surface. The mat comes rolled up and is difficult to unroll. It has sharp points on the bottom that hurt your hands as you unroll it.
