Pros & Cons
Pros
This is counter-intuitive and important. Putting it together after the initial un-boxing isn't so bad either. I'm satisfied with the quality and overall.
Burnt titanium highspeed pla is super nice too. The quality and flashforge support is unmatched with a 1-year warranty. It's easy to get to know, relatively easy to troubleshoot and fix.
This thing is awesome. It is amazing. Picked this up after watching and discussing a friend's. The printer is super impressive, and will likely be my go-to workhorse for most cases.
It automates most steps, but to navigate all options it does help to be willing to get a bit technical. Qidi provides a wide range of products and truly exceptional technical support.
Replicator has the necessary parameters as far as i saw. It's insanely capable for a $300 or even $400 machine. These are available for this machine, and not very expensive, so i'll probably make that change.
Cons
This is the most cumbersome 3d printer i have ever used.
The top of print jobs looks like it came from an ice cream dispenser. The tools come in a flimsy ziploc bag. The real kick in the teeth is this cannot print over it's usb.
White filament seems to be the only one that works. The spool holder design fails here, in that the spools are too far from the enclosure where the tubes pull the filament. No matter how tight the belts are, they slip terribly, because the pulleys are... Read More
No reponse whatsoever from support. They only have an email run by "alex" alex threatens customers and has a boss thats always on vacation.
In practice, i have multiple problems that right now have the printer sidelined. The * are often unresponsive. Also, the * aren't very responsive.

Price
It's insanely capable for a $300 or even $400 machine.
Value: all in all, i was blown away by how great of a value this printer was.
So, first things first, i couldn't pass up this printer for $300.
I have created a number of retail product prototypes using this machine successfully, and it has paid itself many times over!
Shipping
No fear, the fix is on thingiverse and is a very quick print and fix.
I received the new cable pretty quickly, replaced it, and all was good.
This solution was so much easier than shipping the printer back to china and waiting for it to be shipped back again.
A replacement control board was sent within a few days to italy, and that was followed with detailed instructions for how to re... Read More
Packaging/appearance
Packaging is superb, case is heavy duty, and printer has been very precise.
First, on unpacking one, one of the wire bundles inside the unit had gotten looped over one of the shoulders of the printing assembly.
His name and email where placed right on top when i opened the box.
Competitiveness
As i have no experience with other 3d printers, i cannot compare qidi software with software that is available with other print... Read More
Even then it’s shocking because compared to other printers/slicing software, this thing is a breeze to print with!
Also, i don't have other machines to compare to but it does make a bit of fan noise, and also when printing sounds a bit like r2d2.
I have been using fdm printers for years, and have experienced many different brands and printer types.
