Wow glue that’s hot is sticky! Put a bigger piece of flex tape over it all. Just have a plan set up before pulling the backing off. Razor blades is the cutting-choice.

The tape is very sticky so that was one positive. Unfortunately there is zero adhesion to any wet surface and once wet, the adhesive side on the tape it self is absolutely non-sticky.

Maintenance at my co op busted a whole in my shower to fix a leaky pipe and where going to leave it covered with card board and ducktape for two months till inspection and it looked awful and did not last a day i had a 13 by 15 inch hole and while it took the whole thing it covered it up perfectly till i could get it fixed for a couple of months and perfectly sealed no damage from moisture
