Pros

Pomeranian pup was always pulling to go sniff something farther than the leash would allow. Foot leash is great- it gives my dog room to explore, play and sniff and it is not too heavy for my dog. Great leash for hiking on less busy trails.

The brake system is responsive and easy to use, providing excellent control. The locking * are indeed much easier to use. Only complaint is if you get wrapped around with thr thin rope, it can cut into your legs.

Cons

The new version is less ergonomic and the overall design is a huge downgrade. This design is terrible and very overpriced.

According to seller warranty does not cover roper. On retracting, it sticks then releases, sometimes causing to * my dog's neck. The “swelling” in the middle of the handle also makes it harder to grip securely.

The leash for my small dachshund is so small i can only get two large male fingers in. It makes no sense to have this extension on an retractable leash. Flexi brand only guarantees the leash mechanism.

I would not hesitate to buy this, it was a few dollars more than the unpronounceable brands.
